friday finds / sfgirlbybay

this week has been hard. not only are we still dealing with covid, and you parents out there having to decide about sending your kids off to school, but these terrible wildfires have hit the west coast in the most horrific way. as if we needed something else to worry about. it’s all just too much sometimes, isn’t it? i hope you get a chance to do some deep breathing, meditate, ride a bike — seriously, whatever you can do to alleviate the stress that comes from all we’ve been put through this year. i hope today’s friday finds help cheer you at least just a bit. sending love and calm!

xo, victoria

  1. i could get a good night’s sleep in this dreamy bedroom i discovered via @vogueliving. designed by kingston lafferty design and photographed by barbara corsico, it’s an 18th-century coach house and paper mill in dublin, ireland that’s been turned into a stunning contemporary family home. and if you like the chinese lantern as much as i do, it’s from hk living.
  2. i’ve got wanderlust more than ever these days, and when i saw this pretty Restaurant La Famille in Marrakech my suitcases nearly packed themselves. everything about this place looks dreamy, and Morrocco has been high on my list of places i’d love to visit. one day, sigh.
  3. this pretty bedroom from the latest issue of UK indie @91magazine (which you can order online) is on the other end of the spectrum — less contemporary, but charming nonetheless. i love the styling of the shelf collection above the bed, and the vintage travel poster, too.
  4. speaking of vintage poster prints, if you like them like i do, i think you’re going to love @curated_copenhagen. they are indeed, located in copenhagen, but they list their latest inventory of prints, originals & rare posters on instagram and you can buy them online. i’ve been on the hunt for the perfect print, but i keep missing out. you gotta be quick!
  5. sibella court of the society inc. is one of my favorite Interior and product designers to follow and right now she’s been sharing updates on her home renovations. i love an inspiring before and after and this project is feeding my soul. everything about this color palette is just lovely.
  6. farrow & ball has always made beautiful 100% water-based safe paint, and i quite like their School House White, a lovely soft off-white, naturally reminiscent of the color used in old schoolhouses. the styling of this room is pretty great, too! love a good white on white, like those lovely vintage plates on display.
  7. bay area-based elsie green is my partner in treasure hunting for super marché and i’m excited to say our new container of vintage finds has just arrived from france. they found this vintage waxed buffet in a flea market in Lyon and i’m so excited to see what else came off the ship — i’ll be posting new products soon!
  8. uk-based devol always have drool-worthy dining spaces and kitchens and an abundance of design inspiration, and this charming dining nook is no different, belonging to British television and radio personality, Zoe Ball and her family. I love the botanical wallpaper, too! check out devol for the full tour.
