i’m in one of those moods again. the kind of mood where i feel like i just have way too much stuff. it’s time to clear the clutter and go a little bit more minimal around here. i often feel this way when i return from staying abroad (gosh i miss those trips!), where minimal design seems to be more the norm than say loads of collectibles like i seem to have going on right now. i love the calm, open feeling of these spaces, decorating with just the things that really mean something to you and removing unnecessary items that aren’t sparking joy (as they say). i also lean towards a kind of wabi-sabi effect where it’s imperfectly beautiful. i think collections of beautiful handmade ceramics, unique lighting and artwork that really speaks to me is the wave of my future.

Loving all the lamps! And that concrete fireplace setup

I love minimalism and also feel the need to purge my collections of things periodically. But it’s so hard! I love my things! Lol. I’m also happy to see all the rich chocolate brown hues in these photos. I’ve always loved that color and it seemed big in the 90s but seems to have been replaced by a lot of blond wood/sandy hues in recent years. <3
