hello, friends. well, here we are in a holiday season lockdown. this is a first but i’m following guidelines in the hopes that we can shut this virus down once and for all. it’s not ideal to spend christmas confined to our own homes without the usual family visits, but it’s just one year and we’ll get through it and hopefully never have to do it again. i hope you have plans to be as cozy as possible at home and find yourself grateful for all we do have. here’s to a relaxing weekend, see you back here on monday.

xo, victoria

  1. scarlette new dehli is A charming and intimate “Maison d’hotes” in the middle of south Delhi and i love the way they’ve styled this guest room. the throw is lovely, as is the pair of pendant lamps, but what i really love are the black and white portraits of India’s historical leaders over the bed. they just add such a uniquely personal touch.
  2. i’m a big fan of copenhagen-based stylist Anette Eckmann, aka @eckmannstudiocopenhagen and i’m just swooning over her beautiful ceramic collection. each of the pieces are quite different from the other but the color palette works so beautifully together. a wonderful idea to steal!
  3. @livingbylo documents her ever-changing montreal, quebec apartment and i’m always inspired by her latest iteration. her living room and that gorgeous fireplace mantel are looking quite inviting in this photo. just dreamy.
  4. this is a super beautiful studio tour of ceramicist Ini Neumann and her label We are Studio Studio from herz und blut. i find her ceramics so whimsical and fun, i’d love to add a piece or two to my own collection.
  5. this vintage wall Sconce by Jean Royere is just the cat’s meow! i discovered it via los angeles-based design firm @clementsdesign whose Instagram account is always full of unique design finds and a great one to follow for endless inspiration.
  6. this is such a serene but oh so stylish living room space. i quite admire how minimalist they’ve been able to stay, with the furniture and fireplace remaining the focal point of the room. i think the unique shapes of the furniture add to the interest, as well.
  7. i love the unexpected placement of this very cool little lighting fixture, shot by salvo lopez, one of my very favorite photographers. it’s just a creative way to create a wee gallery nook in an unusual spot. it also draws your eye to the fantastic tile work.
  8. i’d very much like to take a bath here. one rarely gets so fortunate to not only have a beautiful clawfoot bathtub but a fireplace in the bathroom, too? now, that’s my idea of heaven on earth.

    • Sorry, Jay, I believe you are right, but the site didn’t mention it and I wasn’t 100% positive and didn’t want to misspeak in case I was wrong. I’ve changed my wording to historical leaders, though. But they are indeed Indira Gandhi and Jawaharlal Nehru. Thank you!
