happy friday, one and all! it’s supposed to be pouring rain here all day so after a few work calls this morning you can find me curled up with a good book. i’m going to dive into shuggie bain by Douglas Stuart which is said to be quite excellent. read anything great, lately? i’m always looking for recommendations! i’m also very into gardening and greens, so this week’s friday finds seem to reflect that. i hope you have a wonderful, cozy winter weekend, and see you back here on monday!

xo, victoria

  1. the color scheme of this little bedroom nook just puts a great big smile on my face. it feels so fresh, so cheerful — from the red kimono on display (always a great idea for color) to the sweet little green trunk and vintage portrait painting paired with loads of white and light it’s all quite lovely.
  2. i’ve followed sydney-based stylist @little_nicki_ aka NiCOLE NELiUS on instagram for a long while now and always been a fan of her work and now she’s branched out to still life painting! i’m in love with her artwork, like this beautiful painting. you can DM her on instagram and view her latest paintings on instagram.
  3. i’ve recently become obsessed with the work of swiss industrial designer willy guhl. i first saw his work when leanne ford repurposed one of his hourglass planters as a powder room sink, and have since gone gah-gah for guhl. we had one of his planters in super marché recently and have quite a few more pieces arriving next week on our new container from france should you like the look, too.
  4. talk about an inspiring AND PLANT-FILLED studio space! this one belonging to new york visual artist landon metz is just so upbeat i can’t imagine struggling to create art here for one single moment. his instagram feed is most inspiring as well so be sure and follow along.
  5. this los angeles home tour featured on the coveteur is one of my all-time favorites. it’s the historically protected L.A. home of lingerie and jewelry designer Liseanne Frankfurt who’s the founder of lfrank. every inch is eclectic and i especially love her light-filled bedroom. visit the coveteur for more.
  6. i’m not sure if it would be wise for me personally to place a cactus on my bedroom floor (i’m kind of a klutz!) but i really love this look. the cactus is a really nice addition to the industrial-chic look.
  7. i’ve posted about these large, tall floor mirrors before and i get a lot of questions as to where one might find one. this one from @nycxclothes is tagged that it’s from crate and barrel so i went on the hunt, and sure enough, you can find it right here and it comes in quite a few frame choices.
  8. this is another stunning home tour, this time featured on the socialite family, and just one of the elements i love is this very well-styled shelf full of collected art & treasures, but i love the cactus paddles! we’ve got plenty in our backyard so i may need to steal this look!

  1. Thank you so much for your blog and all you share. You asked for book recommendations…. I just finished Last Letter From Instanbul by Lucy Foley. She is in my opinion, a brilliant writer and I think with your love of travel, you might enjoy this book.
