we’re headed up to visit our friends in the cozy north this week to a very charming spot in beautiful british columbia. welcome to St. Lawrence in Vancouver, a restaurant with a heartfelt homage to Chef and Owner Jean-Christophe Poirier’s heritage in Quebec and early experience in renowned Montréal restaurants. picture a dark blue and dreamy ambiance with some very vintage bistro vibes and that’s where St. Lawrence offers up a delicious marriage of classic French cuisine and rustic haute country cooking. we’re going to dress the part in a crisp, classic white blouse but with a hip twist (french cuffs!), a cool but casual Stripe Robe Coat, drop-waisted navy slacks, paired with a great felt hat and comfy boots. it is chilly up north, so don’t forget acne studios aptly named canada scarf. i haven’t been to vancouver for years and years, so i think picking up a copy of one of my favorite travel guides, Wallpaper*’s City Guide Vancouver. happy trails!

That restaurant (I realized I had already bookmarked in Yelp for a future Vancouver visit) is my absolute ideal of a restaurant — the moody wall colors, the vintage furniture.
Also, loving that Eleven Eleven striped blue robe. Gorgeous.
Oh great! Glad to reinforce your next visit. :)
We love to share our city, but now is not a good time. The covid-19 restrictions mean no non-essential travel anywhere in BC. And no visitors from the U.S.
Hope you can come and enjoy the city next year :)
