friday finds / sfgirlbybay

weekend greetings, guys. i hope you’re all doing well. i don’t know about you, but i’m anxiously awaiting my vaccination appointment so i can feel just some semblance of a future and the end to all this quarantining. sigh, it’s been a while, right? i’m feeling all the green on this week’s friday finds — perhaps a reflection of how much i want to spend time outside. have a good weekend, one and all.

xo, victoria

  1. this incredibly beautiful space posted by @michaeladartois is giving me that travel itch. but who am i kidding? i’ve had wanderlust for over a year now and my passport is current and ready to roam.
  2. this is a springtime image if i’ve ever seen one. i love the freshly foraged mimosa branches and the whole green and yellow color palette has me very inspired for a fresh new season.
  3. i love everything about this very textural, layered space from the ‘just a little bit kitschy’ gold-leaf fixtures to that great wallpaper and the glossy jet black doors. i have a few gold-leaf, gilded pieces around my house that i’ve found super inexpensively at both the flea market and etsy, so keep your eyes open if you like this look, too.
  4. this studio apartment In New York’s East Village may be on the small side (370 square feet!), but it’s big on style. i love the eclectic mix, the gallery of great art, and the overall vibe. you can see the entire home tour on lonny.
  5. the future kept is one of my favorite photo journals (and shops) and this feature on rustic homes full of character in Wales, the Lake District, cabins in the Romanian mountains, and romantic French villages is just one example of the beautiful and inspiring images jeska hearne shares. have a look at this lovely feature. i could curl up in this bed and while the day away with a good book.
  6. pardon me for a little self-promotion but i just filled the super marché with a fresh collection straight off the boat from france and this may be one of our best-curated collections to date. the paintings we found on the last trip to france just really make my heart sing. i hope you like them, too!
  7. this lush courtyard has been a longtime favorite of mine. i just love everything about the rather art deco architecture and beautiful foilage. i can imagine coming home very happily to this staircase to what i envision to be a quite heavenly abode, perhaps somewhere beachy and tropical.
  8. designer, author, and blogger Igor Josifovic is one of the ‘premier plant guys’ and his instagram feed is a plant lover’s dream come true. this is just one example of how stylishly he incorporates a few plants into this home. i love the gallery of art, as well!
