welcome to this week’s friday finds — a very eclectic mix of design indeed. the sun has finally come out this week and it’s really improved my mood, so i hope your weather is cooperating, too and giving you some much-needed vitamin d. now that most of us are fully vaccinated it’s nice to get outside and appreciate all this sunshine. have a great weekend everyone!

  1. i recently discovered the pretty interior photography of erin kelly via designer leanne ford’s pottery studio, which she recently photographed. this pretty photograph is of her own home, however, and the clever and very humorous caption kills me. her’s is definitely an instagram feed to follow.
  2. this is such a charming dining room space from @frejabakpetersen. i always love a japanese paper lantern (they’re so affordable!) and i love the creamy vintage fiberglass chairs, too. just a simple, but very effective mix.
  3. light locations in the U.K. has some amazing interiors to rent for photoshoots and this bedroom is one of my favorites. i love the very eclectic collection of vintage paintings along that picture rail. stunning.
  4. this gorgeous tile is was first caught my attention but i then discovered it’s an Italian villa called Villa Pia is on the Umbrian Tuscan border that’s now been repurposed as a location for creative retreats — i’d love to enjoy the luxury of this pretty boutique hotel in the atmosphere of a creative house party.
  5. i’m really embracing this style of layering a simple white sofa with a mismatched combo of floral mattress and striped pillow styled by sibella court. i’m thinking of doing this with my ever slipcovered sofa to make a summer seasonal change. check her shop the society inc. for more of her lovely textiles.
  6. i’m also loving the look of layering vintage area rugs and moroccan carpets. they don’t have to match, in fact, mismatched prints, patterns, and colors look even more interesting. take this hallway for instance — without the rugs, i don’t think it would look nearly as stylish. the white floors with the pink rugs is pretty great, too.
  7. i’ve always loved this home tour of designer liseanne frankfurt’s historic l.a. home courtesy of the coveteur. every time i view it i see something new to inspire me, like this little vignette of treasured collectibles. i love the sea fan paired with the mid-century modern pink lamp!
  8. i love sneak peeks into artist and designer’s studio spaces and this studio belongs to none other than Russian architect Konstantin Melnikov, in his very famous cylindrical house in moscow. i’ve been trying to discern just what that inspiration/note board is created out of because i just love it — looks like it’s just perhaps plywood or cardboard but it’s super cool.
