happy friday one and all, and happy pride month! in honor of pride, let’s get colorful with this week’s friday finds! i for one could use a little cheer in my life right now and what better time than now as we begin to roll into our summer months than to embrace all the gorgeous colors of the rainbow? have a great weekend and see you back here on monday!

xo, victoria

  1. i’m a huge fan of british designer luke edward hall and this is a wonderful little interview with him on house and garden. his style is quirky, whimsical, and colorful and i can’t imagine being in a bad mood whilst hanging out in something he’s designed.
  2. okay, hang on to your hats, because this brand, omg, it’s amazing. if you haven’t seen or heard of them already, check out la double j! and their instagram feed is an uber uplifting slice of joy, too. take for instance this amazing tablescape — way to wow and welcome your guests to our recent, regained freedom from quarantine.
  3. this copenhagen-based instagrammer is also a very upbeat account to follow — good design and pure happiness. @look_good_in_blue shares her very beautiful everyday life in a Copenhagen apartment and a small summerhouse in the country. i love this peek at the pink wall surprising us in the hallway.
  4. i just discovered this lovely and tres chic french brand, l/uniform, via an article on remodelista who always turns me on to grand resources. this brand’s motto is to keep it ‘simple, solid and beautiful’ just like this folding camp cot made oh so stylish with the addition of just a few throw pillows and some great art. bravo!
  5. i love this very European-looking kitchen including the weathered glass and windowsill plants. it’s as though they’ve just returned from the french farmer’s market with an abundance of fresh fruits and vegetables. feels like a life well-lived.
  6. this is a very inspiring copenhagen home tour — light, bright, and very cheerful. this is just a simple vintage glass cabinet, but look how your eye goes to it just by displaying a pretty pink robe. the potted plants up top are a nice touch, too.
  7. a very simple, inexpensive, and chic way to spruce up a small dining space is simply the addition of a colorful tablecloth. the vintage rattan chairs, wall lamp, and fun pear-shaped graphic artwork give this dining space an almost whimsical and unexpected European flair — just smashing.
  8. another inexpensive but stylish way to perk up a room? add a bold coat of paint. i love these bright pink walls and the fabric headboard is pretty great, too. i love all the textures going on, from the check floor to the fabric print headboard and textural bedspread. and look at those sweet pillowcases (“let’s spend the night together”), it’s just dreamy.
