happy weekend, friends! i’m especially looking forward to this weekend because i’ve got my brother and his family coming for a long visit and we’ve got lots on our itinerary. one thing i’m excited to take them to is the fun ‘happy hour’ food tastings liesa’s puts on in laguna beach every friday from 4-6, so if you’re around town, do pop in. i’ve met the nicest neighbors! have fun whatever you’ve got on the agenda and see you monday!

xo, victoria

  1. i’m simply smitten with the idea of this chic striped curtain and i’ve been trying to imagine where i might add one to my own abode. i was thinking of something like this hung on my terrace to add privacy and keep the sun out on those too hot days — charming, no?
  2. this plant-filled balcony is one for the greenery goal list. my landlord has an abundance of succulents to propagate from and especially donkey tails (or burro’s tail) which would look lovely cascading from my balcony, too, and don’t require much sun and rather prefer a bit of shade.
  3. sibella court of the society inc. is one of my favorite interior and product designers to follow and lately, she’s been sharing updates on her home renovations. i love an inspiring before and after and this project is feeding my soul. everything about this guest bedroom color palette is just lovely.
  4. i love everything about this photograph — the textures, the color palette, and definitely the mood. it’s just a simple washbasin at Mimmo Vestita Ceramics but captured so beautifully by photographer carla coulson. visit her website for more of her visit to Grottaglie — an italian town devoted to making ceramics.
  5. if you’ve seen my dining room you know i’m a supporter of mismatched vintage dining chairs and this dining setup in this kitchen is just divine and very european looking. none of these chairs ever knew they’d live together, but they seem to get along famously!
  6. i really like the look of this roberts rivial istream Internet Smart Radio and the way it’s tucked away among these open kitchen shelves looks so chic. i’d like to listen to all my favorite podcasts (smartless, anyone?) on it while i cook away.
  7. this pretty kitchen belongs to designer hannah kuhlmann and is featured on this beautiful tour of her cologne, germany home on craftifair. the whole tour is a must-see but i especially love those sweet terracotta red checkerboard floors paired with the pale turquoise dining table. so charming.
  8. another picture-perfect setting from society of wanderers. imagine pulling out all these mismatched but incredibly cheerful bedlinens for a houseguest to sack out on your sofa. although only a makeshift bed, i think they’d be most impressed and very, very content.

  1. Liesa’s looks like a lovely place. I hope to visit Laguna Beach someday and will definitely visit.
