oh lookee there — it’s already friday again! another week has flown by and i’m ready for the weekend. i’ve gone and bought myself a very simple sewing machine and am planning on attempting a few small home projects. it’s been a while (ahem, a long while) so wish me luck. if they turn out well i’ll be sure to share. i also want to leave you with this exceedingly fun video starring all your favorite childhood sitcom stars — keep on dancing and have a wonderful weekend.

xo, victoria

  1. well, well, well…isn’t this just the most charming little kitchen? it’s British-born photographer Kate Bellm’s home in Mallorca, spain and honestly, the whole place is pretty inspiring. i’m so determined to make it to Mallorca someday so i can see why this brit landed here — it’s just stunning. you can see the full home tour on Friends of Friends.
  2. i’m loving this shelfie featured a while back on the jungalow. the pretty pottery collection all looks so great together and though there’s a lot, it looks cohesive and well-curated. that cactus plate is a keeper for sure.
  3. who wouldn’t love to have their very own backyard grotto? me, please! this backyard belongs to architect Anthony Wyer in Sydney, australia, and was inspired by a huge sandstone boulder that provided the idea to build around it rather than try and move the darn thing. well done! i can’t imagine a cozier spot for an afternoon of leisurely reading.
  4. yep, i’m still obsessed with these striped door curtains you see all over italy. i just need to figure out where i can put some vintage stripes. i was thinking perhaps on the outside walls of my balcony in front of the french doors and then just pulling them aside with some interesting curtain tiebacks. more on that soon.
  5. this is definitely a rustic diy, but i kinda love the look of this vintage basket used as a wall shelf above the doorway. if you look closely you’ll see there are all sorts of little journals stashed there and it makes me so curious as to what’s written in them.
  6. here’s another lovely home tour. and the kitchen is just so colorfully fresh and cheerful. those checkerboard floors help with that for sure. it’s the cologne, germany home of artist/designer Hannah Kuhlmann of Studio Kuhlmann, and to view the full tour, visit craft fair.
  7. some of you may have seen this bookmobile i posted on instagram last week. it certainly got a lot of comments and likes so i thought i’d share it here with you, too. taken by @afiordipagina in turen, italy, i really could see this as my next endeavor — semi-retiring to driving a cute bookmobile like this? yes, please!
  8. and lastly, i so admire the work of london-based photographer debi treloar and her home is always just as inspiring. i love the lighting in this pretty little nook. follow her on instagram and check out her website to see more of her lovely work.
