happy weekend friends, happy friday finds. this week i’m all about subtle grays, lots of white and the unique juxtaposition of pairing vintage finds in a modern atmosphere — my favorite look. pairing the unexpected will always give you a look that’s uniquely you — no one else can have exactly the same space and you can say bye-bye to cookie-cutter catalog looks. i hope you enjoy and maybe even get out this weekend to shop your local thrift stores, yard sales, or flea markets — oh and always have a peek at what we’ve got stocked at super marché, too (shameless plug, i know). have a great weekend everyone.

xo, victoria

  1. Camellas Lloret is a charming boutique hotel in Montréal, france and i’ve been daydreaming of staying there, but i also fear i might never want to leave it’s just that divine. take for example the gorgeous sitting area — i mean it’s the kind of space i try and emulate, but just haven’t quite gotten there. effortlessly chic, indeed.
  2. this is another of my very favorite living rooms photographed so beautifully by Montse Garriga Grau, aka @capdemar an interiors photographer. i’ll take one of each of everything in this room — most especially that fabulous chaise lounge.
  3. nobody does ‘shelfies’ better than interior designer leanne ford and did you know she has a whole page dedicated to them on her website? yep, she does and i particularly like this wallpaper-lined vintage cabinet that makes all that black pottery just pop. leanne also has a brand new collection out in collaboration with crate & barrel and it’s fab.
  4. on the more simple but no less fabulous side is this kitchen makeover featured on remodelista. i really like the whitewashed wood paneling paired with those really pretty exposed blonde timber ceiling beams. it’s a combo i haven’t seen a lot of but have a good feeling we might be seeing more of this very interesting contrast between modern and rustic.
  5. this is yet another rustic but modern kitchen look. i think it’s the clean color palette of white with gray cabinetry that lends itself to a more updated contemporary look, although the boutique hotel itself is quite ancient. check out more from borgo egnazia in puglia, italy for more of its never-ending charm.
  6. this is another interesting juxtaposition of modern and rustic as well as scale, this time with a small vintage desk paired with some very contemporary photography. its contrasting effect is very unexpected, maybe a little quirky and i love it to pieces. bring me the unusual every time, please.
  7. i love this very minimalist bathroom, too. it’s got that great, vintage dry sink table and antique accents but in such a clean, white environment and with open beamed ceilings, it looks much more modern and unique than you might expect.
  8. this adorable suite at cucumbi in Alentejo, portugal is again a wonderful example of pairing old with the new. it always makes for a more interesting room, like this petite dining room with the vintage hutch — but the modern mesh pendant lamp really revises the whole vibe, making it much more modern looking. i just love it.
