friday greetings, friends! it’s so chilly as i write this week’s friday finds i think i may have sought out rooms with some color and warmth, and it would appear rather unintentionally some very interesting shapes. warning curves ahead! whether it’s some amazing arched doors or a few mid-century modern furniture finds, we’re getting all curvy today. i hope you have some relaxing weekend plans ahead. cheers to the weekend!

  1. you know i love a good daybed, and this one is truly unique. i’ve not seen one like this before with its modernist vibes and interesting arms and legs. the entire apartment is a work of art, full of incredible vintage finds so do have a peek.
  2. this is another apartment with one-of-a-kind pieces and a wonderful color palette. designed by ysg studio it’s got a lot of funky and fun-shaped furniture and lighting, and the artwork adorning the walls is offbeat and inspiring.
  3. the Paris home of Michel Vivien, a designer, and creator of French shoes is a uniquely eclectic space featured on the socialite family. i’ve always loved these Verner Panton-designed Panthella (or tulip) lamps and i like how here it becomes almost like an art piece.
  4. this is beau marche, a vintage-modern showroom in Copenhagen featured on coco kelley, but it’s also my dream home office space. i love how light-filled it is with all that white, the paper lanterns, and the spacious feeling you get from the desk floating in the center of the room. i could get very inspired working here.
  5. have you ever seen such spectacular arched doors as these? me either. it’s the incredible villa magnan in Biarritz, in French Basque Country. the entire villa is stunning and available for holiday stays. and, they have a pet donkey named hector that wanders the property. i really just want to go hang with hector and see this place in person.
  6. i love this idea of wrapping a built-in bench in rattan. it’s a retail space designed by Faye Toogood, the mulberry regent street store in London, but wouldn’t it be a fabulous look for a home dining nook?
  7. another very minimal home office space in an 18th-Century Paris Apartment — when you have a desk this beautiful, i mean, what else do you really need? but offsetting that mid-century oak desk with the very contemporary pink table lamp is a nice touch, and the wicker chair is lovely, too.
  8. my parents used to have a headboard like this one, with built-in bookshelves, and damn if only i knew where it was now. i love the look of this beautiful wood bed and having a space to display all my favorite bedtime reading seems like a dream come true. that wall sconce is pretty great, too.
