happy friday one and all. are you beginning to feel the holiday vibes? i’m starting to get there and am very excited because my brother and sister-in-law have moved to my neck of the woods so we’ll be spending thanksgiving together along with my nieces and their boyfriends who are flying in from san francisco. like a lot of you, we weren’t able to spend the holidays together last year so i’m really looking forward to this time together. i’m taking next week off to really embrace it and i hope you’ll be doing the same. have a happy thanksgiving and i’ll see you back here the monday following. cheers!

xo, victoria

  1. just love this colorful farmhouse kitchen! we’ll all be spending much more time in the kitchen this coming week, won’t we? what’s your holiday specialty? i’m the mashed potato queen and will also be making the homemade cranberry sauce, and my mum’s secret stuffing (secretly, my favorite part of the meal).
  2. i’ve recently rediscovered lena corwin on instagram and am so glad i have! what a talented textile designer and artist she is, and it shows in just the simple beauty in this bountiful bowl of produce from her uncle’s farm. i think something like this spilling over on the thanksgiving table would be so beautiful (and edible!).
  3. i love the warm and inviting fall color palette of this old french farmhouse featured on the socialite family. it’s the home of artist carla talopp and photographer thomas millet and family and the entire home is stunning, and filled with carla’s art. have a look at the full home tour.
  4. i’m a big fan of interior designer marie olsson nylander and so i love a now and then glimpse into her own home. i love the scattered look of these hk living paper lanterns and i think they’d add a lot of ambiance hanging above any thanksgiving table, too.
  5. i’ve also been following sydney, australian-based stylist and artist @little_nicki_ aka NiCOLE NELiUS for a long, long while and love seeing her work, including her still life paintings. i love this little home gallery of hers. if you like her work, too you can find her paintings and prints available on her website.
  6. i really fell for these Hurricane Boule candle votives and love the shimmering light and cool 70’s vibe they give off. an assortment of these votives in different colors with some pretty foraged fall foliage would make a pretty thanksgiving table setting, too (christmas tables, as well, for that matter). they’re available at one of my favorite swedish design shops, artilleriet.
  7. in need of extra plates and serving pieces this season? i love the look of mixing mismatched vintage pieces with my neutral everyday dishes. it gives the table an eclectic look with a traditional twist and i like mixing in my mum’s old dishes, too. hunt the flea markets or even etsy this weekend to add to your collection.
  8. i’m not even sure how i landed on this site, but aren’t these the cutest little reusable facial scrubs made from upcycled vintage beach towels? they’re from picnic wear and would make darling stocking stuffers. and call me crazy, but i think they might make for a pretty cute coaster idea, too. cheers!
