weekend greetings, friends. and it’s a long, holiday weekend at that — sigh, and much needed. i don’t know about you, but it feels to me like january has to be the longest month of the year. it’s like mondays — you’re ‘supposed’ to be ready to jump back and go, go, go, but man i just feel rather unmotivated about leaving the house. it’s the covid blues, i know, so i am grateful i’ve felt loads of inspiration for the blog because at home here i sit blogging away, waiting out this latest wave. i hope you enjoy this week’s friday finds. my taste seems to be getting more and more quirky these days, so i hope you’re still with me! have a great long weekend and i’ll see you back here on tuesday.

xo, victoria

  1. monday i posted about blowing up personal photos and graphic images you love and this is a perfect example of doing just that. i love the whimsy of this oversized photo and it pairs perfectly with that very fun and funky chair.
  2. reath design creates some inspiring interiors and i just love this playful bedroom. it’s the combination of all these mismatched prints that i love — from the flag over the muted wallpaper print to the striped pillow and checkboard quilt it all comes together so beautifully and the color palette is sublime, too.
  3. this gorgeous image was uploaded by architects riseroot to their pinterest feed and i just had to share. i’m not sure where it’s from, but again, all this fabulous mix of color and pattern makes my heart sing. the tile, the mural, those doors — oh la la! i wonder if i will ever add more color to my own home!?
  4. i love this cozy pink booth and especially the nude artwork by artist Carla Cascales Alimbau. it’s just a very simple but lovely pairing. if you like her artwork, too, you can find more of it on the tappan collective, one of my favorite online art galleries.
  5. i’m still fantasizing about where i might place a fun striped curtain like this one somewhere in my own home. taken by @issycroker, photographer of good food, people & places — she also has a print shop and takes custom orders should you love this little burst of happiness as much as i do.
  6. i don’t know what it is exactly that i love so much about this little garden, but its simple perfection just speaks to me. their entire london home tour is pretty great, so for more of it visit the modern house.
  7. london-based freelance photographer debi treloar always shares captivating images, including her own home, but this image of a holiday home in kenya, africa is just envy-inducing. i love all these eclectic mismatched pillows against the huge white wall and the round shape of this african home is just the bees’ knees.
  8. this is another really wonderful paris home designed by virajo. it’s got loads of personality, like this lone Saarinen swivel chair tucked sweetly in the velvet draped bedroom corner. i love a good juxtaposition and this is a really good mix of funky meets traditional!

  1. Another week of enticing inspiration! I don’t know how I’d manage this latest onslaught of Covid induced isolation without your divine color sense and editorial acumen! Thank you for uplifting my spirits with your words and images. This weeks were especially fine!
