weekend greetings, friends. i hope you’re all hanging in there. i’m all about calming, well-designed spaces on this week’s friday finds. i think we could use a little calm about right now (more on that next week). i love the soothing color palettes of these homes — lots of pale shades and natural wood with plenty of interesting texture. i hope you all find some relaxing quiet time this weekend, and perhaps some time offline in pursuit of something that brings you peace.

xo, victoria

  1. this dreamy eclectic living space in Barcelona has always been an inspiring and enviable favorite of mine. i love all the mismatched chairs and furnishings (the wings!) and the beautiful pale grey walls and stunning crown molding. rooms like this are rarely built these days and it’s a shame because they’re just so special.
  2. this is another apartment with that European charm, this time in Paris. it’s also blessed with incredible crown molding and a really calming vibe. the full home tour is featured on the socialite family and it’s well worth the inspiring visit.
  3. interior designer leanne ford has created another masterpiece and this time it’s the los angeles home of dani michelle, stylist to the Kardashians. this outdoor dining space is just one of the highlights featured on domino. and if you love these chairs (i have a couple) you can find them here.
  4. i’m so smitten with this very stylish but simple book shelf. transparent and a fun wavy shape, it’s made of acrylic it comes in two colors (the other is blue) but i love this chic amber shade. available from light shadow art on etsy.
  5. this is one very modern, but really calm-looking kitchen. the color palette is what makes it so inviting to me and i love the marbled-looking Brazilian quartzite on the benchtop, island, and backsplash that Sydney-based interior style director Kerrie-Ann Jones created for herself and her family. for the full tour, visit homes to love.
  6. i love the idea of these ‘peekaboo’ carved wood cabinet doors in the valencia, spain home of Carlos Serra, an interior designer at studio Mercader de Indias. it’s really beautiful to get a peek inside at the dishware and i can imagine some colorful glassware looking beautiful behind these doors — almost like a stained glass window. you can find old doors in salvage yards everywhere if you’re up for a fun diy.
  7. speaking of enviable architecture, this new york loft belonging to Daniela Jacobs of @arc_objects has long been a dream of mine. it’s hard to envision it was once a former shoe warehouse — and can you even imagine having those gorgeous pillars to decorate around? sigh.
  8. famed spanish architect ricardo bofill sadly passed away in january, leaving behind the most admirable legacy of work. there have been lots of posts in honor of his designs lately, and this built-in bookcase is a favorite of mine. photographed by Adrian gaut, this is one of the loveliest tributes i’ve seen.
