friday is here again, and thank goodness for that — it’s been a hectic week! i gave an online talk at pinterest this week, did a photo shoot for a new product i’m excited to share with you, and i revamped my shop, super marché. it’s a bittersweet goodbye, but it’s too difficult to travel to france these days to shop for vintage treasures with everything going on in the world, so i’ve changed things up a bit, instead scouring online vintage shops on your behalf. i’m featuring both vintage and brand new homewares and furniture in the shop — products i think you’ll love as much as i do and have even included my favorite go-to fashion and beauty finds. and, as requested i’ve finally added a print shop. and from time to time, i’ll be selling unique finds from my own collections, or ones i find at flea markets for you. since i don’t make much money from the blog anymore, this is a great way to support my efforts on the blog if you’re so inclined — i make a small percentage on the shop goods through affiliate links (full disclosure!) and that can add up and help pay the rent! i hope you love what i’ve put together for you — i’ll be updating the shop on a regular basis. have a great weekend, everyone.

xo, victoria

  1. one of the things on my bucket list is to get myself somehow invited to Richard Christiansen’s very fabulous flamingo estate high in the hills of los angeles. if you can believe it (and it’s true) this fabulous pink estate was once a porn studio (so very L.A.). now it’s renowned for its transformation into a lush local organic farm and purveyor of homewares extraordinaire.
  2. speaking of lush, another place i’ve been hoping to visit is mexico city, and once there to some of the works of art and inspiring architectural wonders, like Casa-Estudio Max Cetto, among others like casa luis barragan, and frida kahlo’s blue house. this bounganvilia covered home looks so exotic but also quite inviting.
  3. there’s no reason your bathroom can’t be a work of art, as well. i love this dramatic bathroom photographed by jonas ingerstedt — its glass display cabinet is a lovely idea, and i like the idea of styling it like they have here with pretty perfume bottles and my go-to beauty products. those black walls add to the drama, too.
  4. i loved colored glassware, especially when mismatched like this, styled by christina schmidhofer. i’ve hosted parties in the past where i’ve rented glassware like this from frances lane and it makes for a very photographic event, so check your local party rental places for vintage glassware if you like that idea.
  5. this is quite a dramatically different bathroom, too, but i really love it, especially the color palette. those mismatched limestone sink basins are pretty freakin’ fabulous as is the marble backsplash with its uneven edge.
  6. sometimes all a lonely little corner needs is one very fantastic chair. the fireplace mantel is lovely, too but i think the addition of this beautiful mid-century modern find really draws your eye to this corner and makes it quite cozy. unique vintage chairs always have my heart.
  7. these chairs are quite beautiful, too. i love a cushy velvet upholstered chair and this pair really makes the room. and should you like this lovely living space it’s actually for sale. you just have to move to Melbourne to live there, but i see nothing wrong with that plan.
  8. here’s a very romantic and dreamy space to lay your pretty head. if planning on a trip to ibiza then you too can sleep here — it’s a room at Los Enamorados a gorgeous boutique hotel in ibiza, another place i’d love to get to, and staying here seems like a good plan to me. i love the warm color palette and that tile treatment paired with all those lovely drapey fabrics over the bed is divine.

  1. Hi Victoria.
Love today’s Friday Finds. I’m going to pin every image. Just wonderful.
And you inspired me to make a purchase from Super Marche. The wonderful magnolia print. It stopped me right away. Thank you for putting it in the shop.
    Have a great weekend.
