its subtitle is ‘a sourcebook for stylish, eco-conscious living’, and remodelista: the low-impact home by margot guralnick and fan winston is exactly that — and one of the best books i’ve come by for living an environmentally responsible lifestyle. the ideas in remodelista: the low-impact home photographed so beautifully by matthew williams are not only useful, but design-friendly, too. the book is full of practical ideas for repurposing and recycling, including my personal favorite way to design — by repurposing vintage homewares and home furnishings — the most conscientious consumerism and earth-friendly choice.

this book gives us clear guidance and inspiration for creating a home that’s both sustainable and stylish, as well as tours of inspiring living quarters belonging to people who’ve interpreted low-impact living in a myriad of artful ways. remodelista: the low-impact home contains an invaluable source guide for loads of eco-friendly products for creating a home that befriends our planet, including 75 of their favorite vintage household items.

every page of this book offers impactful information you can act on right away — including best practices for choosing household essentials, from lightbulbs to sofas; guidelines for a low-impact, energy-efficient remodel; and how to recycle or donate your castoffs so they don’t end up in the landfill. from a remodeled apartment inspired by the slow food movement to a tree-house cabin to a multigenerational courtyard compound, this book is not only helpful but a truly beautiful addition to our design libraries.

I love your blog - I think I have been reading it for over 10 years! It would be great if you could either hyperlink to bookshop.org or a specific independent bookseller instead of Amazon. Thank you for all you do

Oh how great! Love the other two Remodelista books and keep coming back to them all the time. So I will definitely get this one as well . It is not only the content that gets me all the time but also the clear I cluttered book design and layout and fonts. It really is such good branding and valuable content. It always had its timelessness so this book is just a natural evolution from the others. Thanks for posting it!
