on trend: deco bathing beauties.
we're pampering ourselves today with some art deco inspired bathroom eye candy.
there’s nothing quite like pampering ourselves in a pretty bathroom, especially ones designed as beautifully as these bathing beauties. recently, i randomly landed on interior designer tamsin johnson’s beautiful instagram feed, and found it filled with an abundance of inspiring decor, and i particularly fell for her rather daring bathroom designs (like these, just below). if you’re looking for ideas for your loo, i highly recommend having a gander at her work and visiting her vintage shop, as well.
tasmin’s work left me feeling inspired to round up a few more beautiful bathrooms for you and i couldn’t help but notice a kind of modernist, art deco vibe swirling around the design world. interesting pattern play and unique curved lines abound, with tones of pale pink and seafoam green, loads of dreamy marble, and irregularly shaped mirrors like those italian mirrors of the 1950s i covet so much, as well as some really eclectic lighting fixtures and wall sconces. okay, ready? perhaps light some candles, pour yourself a glass of wine, put on your favorite moisturizing mask, and get comfy for this post. but don’t get in the tub — i’m afraid you’ll drop me! it’s time to pamper yourself with some very dreamy bathrooms.
