on trend: modern mod.
i think i missed an era i was meant to thrive in. thankfully we can still create a mod, mod, mod world at home.
gimme all the mini skirts worn with opaque tights and go-go boots, and the false eyelashes, too. i love looking back at the 1960s when i was just a wee child, but i wished i were a teenager — how i longed to wear what twiggy wore. i feel like we’ve already been through a mid-century modern revival, but now it’s making a further comeback with an updated and cozy twist on what was modern in the first place, if that makes sense. i’ve been seeing the same unique shapes from the 50s and 60s returning for a while now, but perhaps with more comfort in mind — puffy chairs, plush curved sofas, and togos are very on trend. and acrylic tables, things that swivel, and mushroom-shaped lamps are all over the place.
