reinventing my home studio space. again.
you know how i get. i'm redecorating, yet again — and this time it's my home studio creative workspace.
call me crazy, because i know it wasn’t that long ago that i converted my home studio workspace into a dining room — but i miss having that functional creative space and a place to play. and truth be told, i never eat in the dining room unless i have guests, and we mostly end up eating outdoors on the patio or casually in the living room. so — i’m converting the room back to a studio workspace and a workout space. i need an area i can do my indoor mini treadmill, and i’ve recently purchased the pvolve workout kit, so i need some floor space, too. it’ll be a multi-purpose room, to be sure.
my plan is also to makeover my living room space. if you’ve followed me for a while, you know i get easily bored with my decor and need to switch up my looks, and often. i find it fun to rearrange my home and repurpose furniture i have on hand and occasionally add a new piece here and there. so, to change things up, i’m moving my black bookcase and my trestle table from the living room into what is the current dining room to use as a desk, and the living room is currently a work in progress (more soon). so i thought i’d share some inspiring home studio spaces with you. i look forward to having a giant inspiration board in the office and looking out my large picture windows and french doors into the garden. my guest cottage is a spanish revival built in 1929 and is rustic with white beamed ceilings, so i’m going for a casual wabi-sabi look that’s not too precious. i want a kind of organized chaos to allow myself to be more creative, make art (and messes), and maybe even start sewing again. here’s a look at a few home studio workspaces that are inspiring me.
