surf vibes for a modern world.
not your average beach decor, instead a bit more elevated, but always with that same relaxing, calm vibe found in beach shacks everywhere.
i’m finally feeling summer here at the beach, and besides the fogged-in mornings, the sun is back shining again, and everyone’s moods have lifted, too. so i thought in celebration of my favorite season, it might be appropriate to share some contemporary surf vibes with you — not your typical beach shack but something a bit more elevated and modern. think more streamlined, with soft, muted earth tones found in nature and a mix of eclectic, vintage-modern furnishings, artwork, and accessories.
with these organic vibes in mind, i like to bring a bit of nature inside — like with this bunch of bananas placed in a simple modern jar. pretty striking, right? i like using rattan and bamboo furniture, funky mismatched chairs, and sometimes bringing the outdoor furniture inside, too — like a fun chaise lounge or swing chair. i hope you find some summery inspiration here, and on a side note, i’ve got two big design projects in the works that i can’t wait to share with you, so i’m off until after next week. i hope you all have a lovely long holiday, and see you soon! x, v.

surf vibes for a modern world.
Beach decor is so different on the West Coast. Love the greens, and laid back cool vibe.
Sigh... this is sooo up my aesthetic alley. The easy breezy style of it all makes me feel I'm living in the wrong place. Heavenly.
