in celebration of the current maximalist design mood, i bring you some seriously over the top wallpaper patterns. don't fight it, just embrace it.
it all started with this knock my socks off crystals wallpaper from the pattern collective. i mean, have you ever seen anything so amazing in wallpaper before? the repeat on this wallpaper is huge, so it’s almost like asteroids winging their way towards you when you paste this upon your walls and i’m all for it. daring, yes — cool? very. so i went hunting for what else was out there in the current maximalist design mood and was shocked, simple shocked i tell you, when i came upon the abundance of wild wallpapers out there. want andy warhol polaroid selfies on your walls? you can have them! some of my favorite resources for uniquely brilliant wallpapers are the pattern collective, house of hackney; flavor paper and pierre frey to name just a few, but check my list of textile and wallcovering resources for more. have fun out there.

Ooh what perfect timing! After 15 years of living in a Victorian terrace house in the UK we're moving to Germany, to a newly built flat. I already miss the quirkiness of English houses, although certainly not their building quality... so I was already browsing the web in search of interesting wallpapers to give our new home a bit more character.
