wear this there: first bloom corner store.
fancy a cozy valentine's day in the country? we're off to upstate new york and i've got the perfect ensemble for you.
there’s nothing i like better than a neighborhood corner grocery store. so when i read that cookbook chef and author alison roman opened her very own first bloom corner store in upstate new york, i was intrigued. her cookbook dining in is one of my go-to’s (the salmon recipe a favorite), and i’ve always found her recipes quite easy to follow. so, i thought, what better way to spend a cozy february day — perhaps a perfect valentine’s day getaway in the country, than to wear this there to her first bloom corner store? located in bloomville, new york, her adorably rustic shop carries groceries, fresh coffee, cider & beer, gourmet pantry essentials, and a whole lot more — you'll find most things you'd need to make wonderful home-cooked meals, plus a few things that’ll make your nostalgic heart sing — all while supporting locally made/sourced/farmed foods from delaware county, as well as things from far away because sometimes it’s nice to feel like you’re on vacation. which is what we’re about to embark on — a trip to bloomville. you can read more about her new grocery store from alison here on substack.
